Ripples in the pond
A little more than 48 hours after the verdict in the Pirate Bay trial was announced and the most newspapers in Sweden summarized that the verdict was harsh and a stroke in thin air since the technology already evolved and will make it even harder to continue to fight any file sharing protocol.
A Norwegian professor from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) said in an interview made by the Norwegian evening paper VG that file sharing will not be stopped and seeing it from the plaintiff side that the search engines e.g. Google would be next if they should continue to follow their strategy.
Technology will continue to evolve and the file sharing will become more anonymous for every day that passes and bit torrent will become obsolete like any other protocol that has become unsafe for file sharing.
IFPI and the other interest organizations will also continue their fight until they change their way of business and propose a completely different income model.
